A near pair of early 19th century collectors cabinets ( mahogany & amboyna). Each with fitted with six graduated drawers with turned ivory knopped handles.
The mahogany cabinet housing the majority of a part set of numbered miniature oval and round wax portraits reliefs depicting George I, II & III and their extended families. This collection is supplemented with hand written numbered paper keys taken from Tassier’s catalogue.
The amboyna cabinet houses the remainder of the wax portraits reliefs together with a set 24 sulphide buttons depicting winged putti , 24 red glass oval gems and a collection of various loose intaglios depicting British royalty from the late 18th century to early 19th century.
